Phase-In Plan for In-Person Teaching and Learning

正规体育投注The Board of Education approved the following tentative Phase-In Plan for In-Person Teaching and Learning for students who did not select Bloomfield Virtual:

  • September 14 - Early On, SEED, ARP/FRP, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and Bloomin’ Preschools
     
  • September 21 - Wing Lake and Kindergarten
     
  • September 24 - Grades 1-5
     
  • September 29 - Grades 6-8
     
  • October 1 - Grade 9 Cohort A only
    (Synchronous Distance Learning for Grade 9 Cohort B and Grades 10-12)
     
  • October 2 - Grade 9 Cohort B only
    (Synchronous Distance Learning for Grade 9 Cohort A and Grades 10-12)
     
  • October 5 - Grades 9-12 (Cohort A only)
    (Synchronous Distance Learning for Grades 9-12 Cohort B)
     
  • October 8 - Grades 9-12 (Cohort B only)
    (Synchronous Distance Learning for Grades 9-12 Cohort A)

When In-Person Teaching and Learning begins: 

  • Elementary and middle school students will attend half days on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with Wednesdays and the other half of the day as distancing learning days.
  • Elementary AM students will attend 9:05 until 11:50 AM.
  • Elementary PM students will attend 1:10 until 3:55 PM.
  • Middle School AM students will attend 8:15 until 11 AM.
  • Middle School PM students will attend 12:20 until 3:05 PM.
  • High school students will attend 7:25 AM until 2:30 PM.  Students will attend either on Mondays & Tuesdays, or Thursdays & Fridays, with Wednesdays and the other days not attending as distance learning.

正规体育投注To view if your K-8 child has been scheduled for AM or PM in-person classes:

  1. Login to ParentPortal.
  2. Select your child's name in Grades K-8.
  3. Click "Attendance Group" along the left navigation.
  4. There will be a code and "AM" or "PM" will be the last letters.  "AM" will attend in the morning, "PM" will attend in the afternoon.

The Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees recently passed the .

Oakland County Health Division and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) are reminding residents to take precautions from mosquito bites as cases of Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) have been confirmed in 2 horses in Holly and Ortonville. To date, no human cases have been identified. 

正规体育投注MDHHS also recommends out of an abundance of caution that officials consider postponing, rescheduling or cancelling outdoor activities occurring at or after dusk, particularly activities that involve children. This would include events such as late evening sports practices or games.

正规体育投注As part of the onboarding process with Zoom, BHS has now added students to the District Zoom Portal. This will improve security, support, and ease of login. Families will need to make sure their students log in to the Bloomfield Hills Zoom Portal prior to Monday morning classes.

COVID pre-screen flyer

Families, staff, and visitors/vendors are required to complete the daily pre-screen before coming to school. Students (not currently enrolled in the Bloomfield Virtual program) will begin attending school in-person in the hybrid model according to the  and must complete the pre-screen daily.  

The pre-screen is available at sapporoestate.com/pre-screen正规体育投注 and can be completed from any computer, tablet, or mobile device.  are also available for those who wish to print the checklist for a home reference.

正规体育投注Students and staff do not need to display a screen or paper upon bus or building entry according to guidance received from the Oakland County Health Division. Visitors/Vendors must complete the digital pre-screen prior to building entry and visitors/vendors will be greatly limited to minimize exposure risk. Student Athletes will also be required to complete the digital pre-screen prior to participation in athletics.

Meals for Kids - Fall Update

This fall, BHS will be continuing free curbside service for students either learning virtually or distance learning through at least December 31, 2020.

Meal distribution will take place Mondays and Thursdays, and will begin Thursday, September 10, curbside at BHHS from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meals will be provided for breakfast and lunch.
